Movie Acting Masterclass® - Michael Chekhov Acting Studio Budapest
**The aim of the workshop is to record three professional videos made in Hungarian or English^x, which participants can send to Casting Directors for auditions in Europe or overseas.**
We live in times when a great deal of filming takes place across Europe. Recently, Hungary has featured prominently as a key shooting location.
The Michael Chekhov technique equips the actor with tools to create engaging and authentic videos for prose or musical auditions.
**During the 4-hour workshops, we work with a total of 2 participants:** this intimate setting not only ensures each person receives greater individual attention, but also that just 1 week after the workshop they receive a finalized video ready to be sent anywhere.
Cutting, editing, and finalization of the video are included in the workshop fee. The final video becomes the property of the participant. (Raw footage is not handed over!)
During the 4-hour workshop:
- 3 videos of 1 minute each are produced:
• introduction video (about me / Self-Tape)
• delivered modern or classical monologue / song / self-written text (performing / bests of you)
• dialogue scene video (The dialogue is filmed featuring the two participants. This is the video where the actors' stage play becomes "visible".) - Participants discover the possibilities of "instant" application of acting craft and presence through the imagination and atmosphere-creating tools of the Michael Chekhov technique.
- Participants receive practical guidance for producing self-tape videos
*x - For the introduction (about me) and personal material (performing / best of you), there is no language restriction; for dialogue scenes, we work with participants in Hungarian, English, and German.*

About the Training
The Michael Chekhov Acting Technique® method provides practical tools into the actor's hands that guide them toward genuine expression of their own capabilities and unique creativity.
It simultaneously develops the actor's conscious presence, creative willpower, and sensory capacity.
This process activates all known and hitherto unknown faculties of the actor, leading them beyond personal limitations into a state of complete "naturalness". Its effect is immediately perceptible.
The actor learns to trust their own inspirations and capabilities, regarding everyone as a free creative artist.
One of its primary instruments is imagination – activating imaginative power and creating atmosphere. The actor can use an Imaginary Body or Psychophysical Gesture to create and discover their character. Through this, they explore the character's movement, speech, feelings, and the world in which the character lives.
