Sonnets – Creating Worlds

Are a few lines – exactly 14 – enough for our inner world to see the light of day?

What can these 14 lines suffice for?

Or can a single word be an entire world?

Is the rhythm of the soul iambic?

Naked, enamoured, wretched, eternal, or merely a deceitful desire?

I invite you to create worlds together through the Michael Chekhov method, using bodily-physical exercises, your imagination, and poetic texts!

The pen is the language of the mind - Miguel de Cervantes

Come along:

  • if you are afraid of reciting poetry
  • if your encounters with poems have felt like a failure until now
  • if you find it difficult to memorise texts
  • if you have never engaged with poetry before

Come along if you would like to:

  • understand the truth of poems
  • experience the truth of poems

Come along if you wish to:

  • create worlds

  • meet your own world and the worlds of others
  • come closer to yourself

Yes, all of this is possible while we discover sonnets by Shakespeare, Petrarch, Baudelaire, Attila József, and other poets.

About the Training

The Michael Chekhov Acting Technique® equips the actor with practical tools that lead directly to the genuine expression of their personal capabilities and individual creativity.

It simultaneously develops the actor's conscious presence, creative willpower, and perceptive sensitivity.

This process activates every known and latent capacity of the actor, carrying them beyond their habitual limitations into a state of complete "naturalness". Its impact is immediately felt.

The actor learns to trust their own inspiration and capabilities, regarding everyone as a free creative artist.

One of its primary tools is imagination – awakening the imaginative faculty and creating living atmosphere. The actor can use an imaginary body or Psychological Gesture to create and discover their character. Through this, they explore the character's movement, speech, inner feelings, and the world in which the character exists.
